Giancarlo Chiaramello
He has studied to the Conservatory G. Verdi of Turin graduating itself to full ballots in Pianoforte, Organ, vocal Polifonia and Composition.
From 1960 today he has participated to several Festival di Contemporary Musica including the one of Venice, Belgrade, Warsaw winning numerous prizes. He has also gained the international prize of composition Rainier III of Monaco in 1962.
He has taught Composition to the Conservatory of S. Cecilia of Rome in years 1985/87.
He has made the arrangements for the most famous singers of the years 60/70: Milva, Villa, Endrigo, Pettenati, Delirium, New Trolls, Ivano Ditches, Pieces etc.
He has participated as orchestra director to several Festival di San Remo and Eurocanzone.
He has participated in radio and television productions in quality of arranger and director of orchestra.
He has composed musics of scene in Italy and to the foreign country signing some between the most prestigious shows of the last vent' years between which: "Orlando Furioso", "I due gemelli veneziani", "Il bugiardo", "Zio Vania", "Cyrano di Bergerac", "Caligola", "Macbeth", "Sei personaggi in cerca d’autore" and for the Burgtheater of Vienna "Le Baccanti", "Gli uccelli" and "Oreste".
- the directors with which he has collaborated and he collaborates are between the others: De Bosio, Squarzina, Enriquez, Scaparro, Ronconi, Sciaccaluga, Bosetti, Crivelli, Lassalle.
- He has written sonorous columns for the cinema and the television collaborating with directors like: Lizzani, Monicelli, Pigout, Leroy, Davies, Pupi Avati and Ronconi.
- He has gained the Silver Tape in 1975 for the original soundtrack of the film "Orlando Furioso " by the director of Luca Ronconi.
- A contract with the edition Edwin Kalmus where he publishes the Neapolitan orchestral of classic airs and songs.
- He collaborates in quality of arranger and director of orchestra (also in record and television productions) with Luciano Pavarotti (Decca), José Carreras, Juan Diego Florez and Jonas Kaufmann.
- From 1993 he is arranger of all the concerts of Pavarotti & Friends.
